Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have recently reacted to a transfer link which has emerged between Spurs and LOSC Lille centre-back Sven Botman.

In a recent episode of The Transfer Window podcast, it was claimed by Duncan Castles that the north London club has eyes on the Dutch defender.

That is supposedly due to the fact that Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the 20-year-old centre-back.

Furthermore, it was touted that the player is fit for Tottenham’s desire to sign a quick, left-footed central defender.

However, despite the supposed interest, a move for the player is more likely to be in the summer, rather than during the January transfer window.

These claims were relayed to Tottenham fans on Twitter by Last Word On Spurs and they had lots of them talking.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say following the claim regarding Sven Botman?

“Why is everyone telling us about all these players and then proceed to add “well they’re not coming anytime soon, they MIGHT do in the summer tho.” Might as well tell us about signings in 2022.”

His performances over the outings have been solid, too, as he has earned a 7.08/10 average rating, making him the fourth-best performer for Lille in the league this term.
