Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have recently reacted to a transfer link which has emerged between Spurs and Napoli’s Nikola Maksimovic.

According to Sport Italia journalist Gianluigi Longari, as cited by Sport Witness, the Serbian centre-back is a ‘potential target’ for Jose Mourinho’s outfit.

Supposedly, the north London club would be willing to ‘satisfy’ the player’s wage demands to seal his arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The player’s contract is due to expire in the summer and his Serie A club is trying to work on a renewal without success.

However, it is claimed that Mourinho’s side is not alone in its interest in recruiting the centre-back as there several teams with eyes on him.

This transfer link was shared to Tottenham fans on Twitter by The Spurs Express and it had lots of supporters talking.

So far this season, the Serbian has made seven appearances for Napoli in Serie A, in which he has neither scored a goal nor provided an assist for a teammate (per WhoScored).

His performances have been fairly uninspiring, too, as he has earned a 6.71/10 average rating, making him the 10th-worst performer in their squad.
