Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report that claimed Jose Mourinho is interested in re-signing Inter Milan midfielder, Christian Eriksen.

According to reports by Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia), Mourinho would like to see Eriksen, who left Tottenham for Inter in a deal worth £24.3 million back in January of 2020, make the move back to north London this month.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

Football Italia claim that the £31.5 million-rated 28-year-old is ‘expected to leave the Nerazzurri in the January transfer window’ as he has featured just 13 times across all competitions under Antonio Conte so far this season.

It is then stated that Spurs would be interested in a loan deal for the Denmark international, however, that the midfielder’s €7.5 million (£6.76 million) salary is ‘slowing negotiations down’.

And, after Hotspur Related relayed the news of Tottenham’s reported interest in Eriksen on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with the majority appearing delighted with the idea of the midfielder’s return.

So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say about the recent reports regarding Christian Eriksen?

“This is surprising”

One fan even stated that this is another reason to hate Jose Mourinho. Interestingly, a handful of Spurs fans were far from impressed with the Portuguese boss’ comments a couple of weeks back following the club’s defeat to Leicester City. And, Spurs have only won one of their last five Premier League games, so perhaps that has contributed towards the hate seen in the fan comment below.

“Just another reason to hate Mourinho.”

“Let’s bring Eriksen back! I’d be so excited! Good luck!”

“Could be what we need tbh a free-kick specialist first of all more Harry Kane I score them in training hitting the wall free kicks and will allow Ndombele to play in his natural position and he did create the most chances the entire time he was here could be a good signing tbh”

@ghostcoffee769

“Get in there”

@TopDier

“Yes please”

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Tottenham fans would be delighted to see Eriksen make the move back to north London, with some stating their belief that the midfielder could be exactly what the club needs, while a couple voiced slight concern over the potential transfer.
