Supporters of Tottenham have recently swooned over some comments from Jose Mourinho on the transfer rumours regarding Harry Winks.

According to a recent report by Sky Sports, La Liga club Valencia are interested in securing the services of the English midfielder on loan, with an option to purchase included.

Despite the interest, it was claimed that no offer has been made by the Spanish outfit and Spurs do not want him to depart in the January transfer window.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Scott Parker’s Fulham, Mourinho addressed the rumours (per Football.london, live blog, 12:29, 12/01/21).

He said: “What do I have to say to stop with this talk? I said already that he’s going nowhere. When I say he’s going nowhere, what more do you want me to say?

“He played the last matches. He didn’t play the last one because it was a chance to let players like Gedson [Fernandes] get minutes. Tomorrow he’s selected again. If someone’s talking to other clubs I’d say don’t waste your time.”

These comments were relayed to Spurs fans by Hotspur Related and they had lots of supporters delighted.
