Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Facebook, which relayed a report that contained Graham Roberts’ comments on the club’s link with a move for Christian Eriksen.
Speaking to The Spurs Web (via Football.London), Roberts claimed that he did not want to see Christian Eriksen return to north London this month, following reports that suggested Jose Mourinho’s side could be keen on a loan move for the £31.5 million-rated 28-year-old.
When asked if he would like to see Eriksen back at Spurs, Roberts said: “Me, personally, no. I think he let the club down with the way he managed it. That wasn’t the Christian Eriksen that we knew that was a great, great player. Maybe it was easier to go over there and play, and I think he actually thought he would go to Real Madrid but it didn’t happen.”
And, after Football.London shared their report on Facebook, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many agreeing with the former Tottenham star’s comments.
Would Eriksen be a good signing for Spurs?
So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to Graham Roberts’ comments?
All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Tottenham fans are in complete agreement with Roberts, with some claiming that they would not welcome Eriksen back under any circumstances, while others stated their belief that Spurs should not be offering a player who thought he was destined for bigger things a lifeline.
