Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have flocked to a claim on Portuguese youngster Gedson Fernandes that was made by in-the-know journalist Fabrizio Romano.

According to a recent Twitter post by Romano, Serie A club Torino has opened talks to seal the arrival of the 22-year-old midfielder on loan.

Supposedly, Jose Mourinho’s side is ‘ready’ to let the player return to Benfica so he can make the switch to the Italian outfit.

Romano goes on to state that the final decision on Fernandes will be made next week.

This claim emerged despite the fact that Tottenham have a deal for the player until this summer and an option to make the move permanent at the end of his loan (per BBC).

Following Romano’s tweet, though, The Spurs Express shared the news to supporters and it had lots of them talking.
