Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting excitedly to news regarding their plans for the summer transfer window.

Whilst there’s still work to be done this window, a report in The Athletic claims there are a number of clubs who are focusing more on the summer window rather than what is happening right now. And on that note, Tottenham Hotspur have held discussions with German side VfB Stuttgart over the potential of signing their winger Nicolas Gonzalez.

The 22-year-old certainly knows where the back of the net is, having scored 22 times across the past three seasons, and the report also claims that Leeds United and Juventus have been snooping around him in recent months as well, so he’s certainly seen as a hot prospect.

And it looks as if the Spurs fans were quite excited at the prospect of bringing him on board:

“Top player, would be a good signing”

Spurs have been linked with a move for Marcel Sabitzer this month, which would explain why he has been mentioned below.
“Value wise this is a much better deal than Sabitzer, can definitely see us pursuing this.”
“Yes please he’s so good hopefully replacing Pamela in the squad”
One fan even suggested that it’s a big win for the club to be looking at Gonzalez. It certainly could be big for Spurs if he manages to replicate his form in England, should he move, as he’s already produced five goals in 10 appearances so far this season, with four of them even being substitute appearances. And, his rating of 7.12 in the Bundesliga so far this season would even put him as Spurs’ fourth highest rated player, ahead of the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
“Big W”
“He is quality sign him up”
“He’s so good”
Oh my”

At 22, it does certainly fit the mould of the majority of Spurs’ business this season in terms of building for the future.
