Duncan Castles has been speaking on the latest edition of the Transfer Window podcast about news from various Premier League clubs.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

One club he spent a lot of time on was Tottenham Hotspur and, in particular, Dele Alli’s situation.

The 24-year-old has struggled for game time this season under Jose Mourinho, especially in the Premier League where he has played only 74 minutes.

He has been linked with a move to PSG who are managed by Alli’s former manager Mauricio Pochettino and Castles provided an update on his situation at Spurs.

He said: “You have – at least, if it’s not postponed – a European Championship coming up in the summer, where Dele Alli wants to be playing for England.

“So he needs a club to play for in the period going forward. Paris Saint-Germain is an obvious link because of that relationship and the success he had with Mauricio Pochettino.

“I was asking today whether Mourinho would be prepared to let him go there – the response I received was there are no offers; how can he go to a club which hasn’t made an offer for the player?”

Do you think Alli will still be at Tottenham by the end of the transfer window?

TIF Thoughts on Alli’s future…

Alli is still only 24 and could still have a long time left in his career, but as it stands, he is not getting the game time, and if Castles is to be believed, PSG don’t want Alli.

This is a huge fall from grace for a player who was regularly linked with huge moves to Real Madrid, and now with not long left in the January transfer window PSG don’t want him.

It is clear from the lack of game time he has had this season that Alli is not really a part of Mourinho’s plans and we think it could be better for everyone if he moves to another club even just on loan to get some game time.

However, at the moment, it doesn’t even look like that is going to happen.
