Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left seething with Joe Hart due to his first-half performance in goal tonight against Wycombe Wanderers.
As has been the tradition for Jose Mourinho this season, with it being a cup game, he decided to give first-choice stopper Hugo Lloris the night off and give the former England number one the chance to show what he can do.
It was his first game for the club since the game against Marine in the previous round, and perhaps that rustiness was showing a little bit in the early stages, because there were a number of Spurs fans that seemed to be rather concerned about what they saw from him as they took on the Championship side:
“Close goal for Wycombe. Header. Joe Hart should have saved it! Disastrous keeper!”
“Bale not good enough. Lamela not good enough. Sanchez not good enough. Hart not good enough.”
“That’s true enough but it’s mostly been sloppiness rather than bad luck and as for their goal that defending was abysmal I think Joe Hart may be the worst keeper I’ve seen at this level the bloke can’t catch a ball and has awful positioning we’ve no edge this evening it’s poor”
“Joe Hart makes me incredibly anxious”
“Joe hart is a poor number 2 I’ve said it”
“JOE HART WHEN I CATCH YOU”
Are you pleased that Joe Hart has joined the club?
He certainly has come a long way in the past few seasons, although perhaps not in the direction he would have hoped, and the fact that fans don’t have the faith in him to do well against a lower division side kind of sums up where his career is right now.
It’s clear to see that these Spurs fans aren’t best pleased with what they’ve seen from him so far, with a couple of fans labelling him as ‘awful’ and ‘disastrous’.
