Football podcaster Joe Thomlinson has been sharing his thoughts on the possibility of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli joining Paris Saint-Germain this month.
This comes after Thomlinson recently hosted the latest episode of Sunday Vibes on the Football Daily YouTube channel where he spoke about a number of talking points surrounding the Premier League at this moment in time.
After being previously linked with a loan move to Paris this month, Thomlinson had this to say on the potential move for Alli. (14.44)
He said: “I think this is almost exactly the sort of move that PSG need, Dele Alli needs and Tottenham would maybe be willing to sanction.
“I think it would be on loan, first and foremost, I don’t see him moving on a permanent [deal] to PSG, this January might be on loan with an option to buy set fairly high but I would be very surprised to see Tottenham actively weaken their squad in such a busy season in the long-term, but on-loan, I think Dele is going to need to get out if he wants to get into this England Euros setup.”
The Lilywhites signed the midfielder back in 2015 from MK Dons for a fee of £5.97 million.
Since then, the 24-year-old who is currently valued at £34.2 million, has made 234 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side across all competitions in which he has scored 64 goals and provided 57 assists (per Transfermarkt).

Given how Alli has only made 12 appearances for Spurs across all competitions so far this season, maybe moving to Paris for some regular playing minutes would be a clever move for the Englishman.
