How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this news.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about Dean refereeing their semi-final against Brentford?

“Oh no..”

“Oh well there’s always next year”

“Brentford vs City final it is”

“He shouldn’t be a ref full stop. Never mind I’m charge of any spurs games. Always makes the game about him. Still want to know what he say when we played Burnley”

“Was a good run lads”

Congrats on the victory @BrentfordFC

Spurs managed to secure their place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup after beating Stoke City 3-1 last month thanks to goals from Gareth Bale, Harry Kane and Ben Davies.

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear that these Spurs fans aren’t particularly happy that Dean will be the man to take charge of their match against Brentford, with many Tottenham fans now thinking they will lose the game because of it.

Are you confident Spurs will beat Brentford now that Mike Dean will be the referee?

In our view, it’s not really fair to suggest Spurs will lose the game just because of who the referee is, though their record isn’t amazing when Mike Dean has been in charge since, having won two and lost two in the last four games he’s taken charge in.
