Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have recently reacted to an injury claim which has emerged regarding Giovani Lo Celso.

The Argentine midfielder last featured for Spurs in the Premier League before Christmas in the 2-0 defeat against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City (per Transfermarkt).

He has since missed two league fixtures with a hamstring injury, those being the 1-1 draw with Wolves and the 3-0 victory over Leeds United.

According to a recent report by the Evening Standard, the 24-year-old middleman is set to be absent for Jose Mourinho’s side for the remainder of January with the hamstring problem.

This report was shared on Twitter by The Spurs Web and it had lots of fans talking.

The Argentine midfielder currently has until the summer of 2025 on his existing deal with the north London club and a market value of £31.5m according to Transfermarkt.

So far this season, the 24-year-old Argentine has made 11 Premier League appearances for Spurs, in which he has managed to bag one goal and one assist (per WhoScored).

Over the 11 outings in the league, he has earned an uninspiring 6.56/10 average rating, making him the joint-ninth-worst performer for the club in the top flight this term.
