A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a post from their club, which has confirmed that Harvey White has joined Portsmouth until the end of the season on loan.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

The young midfielder has made two senior appearances this season and 11 appearances in the Premier League 2 division in which he has scored three goals and provided seven assists. His most recent performance for the first-team came in Spurs’ 5-0 win over Marine.

However, it looks like Spurs believe that the 19-year-old should get some more first-team game time.

This post has drawn in these Tottenham fans who are surprised with what their club have done.

Portsmouth are flying high in League One, so this looks like it could be a good move for White and it will be interesting to see how he does in England’s third tier.

This post continued to draw in Spurs fans who had their say.

Good to see all our exciting prospects get the game time they need!!”

@LackoN17

Great loan move for the lad.! Him and Skippy both at perfect clubs for their development.”

@Whats_Goode_

Seems like a good move for him. Plenty of potential there.”

It is clear from the reaction of these Spurs fans that this news has either surprised or pleased them and many of them are clearly hoping that White performs well at Fratton Park.

When you look at how well Oliver Skipp has performed for Norwich City so far this season, perhaps this could turn out to be a great decision by the club, with the Englishman winning October’s Player of the Month and he continues to earn praise.
