According to journalist Ekrem Konur, the Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, ‘follows Heung-min Son closely’ and Real and Tottenham ‘will soon meet’ in order for the La Liga side to ‘get information about the player’.
Son, who joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in what was a £27 million deal back in 2015, has highly impressed over his 15 Premier League appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists, as well as averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.45 – ranking him as the club’s second-best performer in the top flight.
And, after The Spurs Express relayed Konur’s claim on Twitter, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on Madrid’s potential interest in the £81 million-rated 28-year-old, with many left furious by the idea of Son leaving the club.
Do you think Spurs would sell Son for £150 million?
So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say about Real Madrid’s supposed interest in a move for Heung-min Son?
“There goes our sabitzer links”
“Nope off limits”
“Here’s to 2021”
“Madrid can’t afford Højbjerg let alone Son.”
“Talk as much as you want, you ain’t having him”
“What heartbreak looks like”
All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Tottenham fans are firmly against the idea of Madrid making a move for Son, with some stating that the forward is off limits, while others questioned whether Real could the 28-year-old.
