Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report that claimed the club have begun talks with Harry Kane regarding a contract extension.

According to the report by The Independent, Spurs have ‘opened up initial dialogue’ with the forward with the hope of keeping him in north London for ‘the prime of his career’.

The £108 million-rated 27-year-old’s current contract runs until the summer of 2024, a six-year deal that was signed back in 2018, however, after reported interest from Manchester City and, potentially, Paris Saint-Germain, Daniel Levy has decided to offer the England captain a new deal that would ‘go beyond’ his current wage of £200,000 per week.

And, after The Spurs Web relayed this information on Twitter, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing delighted that their club are making efforts to tie Kane down for the foreseeable future.

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Tottenham fans are delighted to hear that their club are planning to offer Kane a new deal, with some begging the forward to take the club up on their offer, while others called for Spurs to give him everything he wants.
