Some Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to slate Sean Longstaff over his performance in the Toon’s FA Cup clash with Arsenal on Saturday evening.

The 23-year-old started this game in central midfield alongside Jeff Hendrick.

It may be fair to say that the older Longstaff brother, whose younger sibling Matty started this game on the bench, has not been enjoying a very positive 2020/21 campaign, as he’s earned the joint-third-lowest overall WhoScored rating (6.36) of any Toon player in the Premier League this term.

It seems as though plenty of Toon fans feel he carried his league form into this FA Cup game, judging by these tweets.

So, what have these Newcastle United fans been saying about Longstaff?

Per The Guardian, the Toon academy product did show some creativity just before half-time, as he put a ball into the box for Andy Carroll that the striker was just unable to get onto the end of but that wasn’t enough to prevent these Newcastle fans from slating him on Twitter.
