Newcastle United fans have been left enraged by comments made by head coach Steve Bruce.

The Magpies are in desperate need of picking up some form having gone ten games without a win in all competitions, with that run starting against tonight’s opponents Leeds United when they lost 5-2 at Elland Road.

They enter the game seven points above the relegation zone, and speaking ahead of this evening’s game, Bruce was asked whether or not he still thinks he is the man for the job, to which he spoke about his experience in the game and how much he brings to the table, responding: “I have been in it a long, long time. You draw experience from it. But the answer is yes.”

Newcastle fans, though, weren’t impressed with these words, and they felt the only experience he’s been drawing from recently is his ability to take teams down, as he did with Hull City back in 2015:

“In other news… Captain of the Titanic thinks iceberg collision “probably only left a small dent.””

“He didn’t have enough to guide Hull and Birmingham out of it when he took them both down”
“The only thing he will do is guide us out of the EPL”
“The evidence would suggest otherwise”
“He is one deluded individual”
Even though he got us into this situation?”
“Steve Bruce thinks he has the experience to get us out of the situation that Steve Bruce got us into in the first place! If he had the expertise to “guide us out” of the situation we’re currently in then why didn’t his expertise stop us getting there in the first place !”

Will Bruce be in charge next season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In his defence, what other answer is he supposed to give in that situation? Imagine the uproar if he’d have come out and said that he’s not the right man and is way out of his depth.
