Newcastle United fans are not happy with the latest news to come out about the team ahead of the game with Leeds United.
And, as has become the norm in recent weeks, they have turned their attention from the team itself and used it as a chance to comment on Steve Bruce. Newcastle United desperately need to pick up some good results and soon, having gone ten games without a win in all competitions.
Heading into their game tonight, it has been revealed that Bruce will be without the services of Paul Dummett, Ciaran Clark, Federico Fernández and DeAndre Yedlin, with The Chronicle describing what’s left for Bruce as ‘the bare bones’.
However, fans on social media were not willing to be sympathetic over the issue, instead they were already casting judgement on the man in the dugout ahead of the game, saying that Bruce would just use this as an excuse if they were to lose:
“Excuse sealed before a ball’s kicked. ‘We was always going to struggle tonight without options in defense, we knew Leeds was a good team and we just lost the ball in a bad position to lose the game. I’ve seen fight from the lads and things are improving’. Bruce after a 1-2 loss.”
There does come a point though where you have to give some level of sympathy in this situation, even Liverpool are going through a similar situation right now.
