Many Newcastle United fans have flocked to a tweet from Sky Sports’ North East correspondent Keith Downie which relayed information on Toon boss Steve Bruce’s tactical plans for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
The 60-year-old manager spoke to the press on Friday ahead of his side’s next Premier League meeting with the Villans.
Downie took to Twitter to reveal that Bruce has claimed he and his side will ‘stick to the same approach’ they deployed in their 3-0 loss to Arsenal last Monday when they travel to Villa Park on Saturday.
So, how have these Newcastle United fans been reacting to Downie’s tweet?
Many Toon supporters flocked to the journalist’s tweet to fume over this claim.
“So another defeat on the cards…
#BRUCEOUT”
“Does he actually want the sack?”
“He’s clueless BRUCE OUT NOW !”
“I hope not. It was abysmal”
“Basically another defeat”
Were you happy with how Newcastle played versus Arsenal?
YES
NO
“He doesn’t know what he’s doing”
“@nickykingster @Aman5ehgal @NickShearing defeat incoming then”
All in all, it’s clear that plenty of Newcastle fans were displeased with their side’s approach to Monday’s clash with the Gunners and feel that Bruce would be making a mistake by sticking with that approach versus Villa.
