Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest social media post from Toon journalist Lee Ryder.

This comes after Ryder shared a post on his official Twitter page relaying comments made by Newcastle manager Steve Bruce after seeing his side fall to a 2-1 defeat at St. James’ Park against Leicester City.

Easy one to get us underway, in what month during 2019 was Steve Bruce appointed Newcastle manager?

Ryder said that when Bruce was asked if anything was close on any potential incoming loan deals at the club, Bruce said that it was news to him, suggesting that he isn’t aware of any deals happening behind the scenes.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the matter.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to Bruce’s comments?

“Clueless”

@KIRKDGAV

“He has no say”

@StephenBerming

“Lee, sounds like he’s still in a huff with you.”

@CapitalG5000

“Clubs a shambles Lee”

@Stuart72584324

“What a shambles of a football club”

@iancr65

“I’m done”

@lloyd138

“The loans should be lined up and ready to go – now!!!”

@Phil_E_Downey

Looking at the replies to this post from these group of Newcastle fans, it seems that they are somewhat frustrated that Bruce isn’t aware of any potential transfer deals that could be going on behind the scenes.

Do you think Newcastle will sign any players in January?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In our view, with Bruce being in charge of the team and the fact that the January transfer window has opened, you would expect Bruce to have some knowledge of the situation.

With Newcastle having signed Nabil Bentaleb, Danny Rose and Valentino Lazaro on loan deals in the previous January window, it will be intriguing to see if they follow suit and bring some new players in this year.
