Supporters of Newcastle United have aired their fury after some comments from Steve Bruce emerged ahead of the Toon’s game against Sheffield United.

During the latest round of Premier League fixtures, the north-east outfit travels to Bramall Lane to take on Chris Wilder’s Blades (per Premier League).

The Toon arrive into the game sat 15th, eight points above the relegation zone, while Sheffield United are rooted to the bottom of the top-flight table with just two points (per BBC).

Ahead of the game, during his pre-match press conference, Bruce aired that the Blades must not be underestimated despite their league position (per The Chronicle).

He said: “Sheff United may be bottom of the table but they’re still a very good side and we will have to be at our best to beat them.”

Lots of Newcastle fans then flocked to the post which shared these comments to air their frustrations.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have fared better in the Premier League, however, have still only managed to pick up two points in their last five games.
