A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from a report in the Shields Gazette about the proposed takeover of the Toon by PCP Capital Partners, PIF, and the Reuben brothers that was withdrawn in July 2020.

Starting with an easy one, how much did Joelinton cost Newcastle when he swapped Hoffenheim for Tyneside?

The report claims that there is growing optimism from both the selling side and the buyers that this takeover deal can finally be completed and also completed soon.

However, the report does mention that previous optimism has led nowhere.

These Toon fans, though, seem very hopeful and are happy with this update.

Got to hang on though. Surely Ashley would have give up and sold on to someone else if he didn’t have a chance to sell to the consortium. He’s about money not football there has to be something he’s confident in. HWTL”

The takeover is currently going through an arbitration process with the Premier League as Mike Ashley looks for a way to force it through.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar have also ended their geopolitical conflict, which could help the takeover because beIN SPORTS were hugely opposed to the takeover happening.

So, things are happening, and this post continued to draw in excited Newcastle fans.

A think the buyer and seller have been extremely confident all the way along from what av heard but it aint come out the bag yet. Can’t wait for it to do so tho. Hwtl”

It looks like confidence in a deal happening is growing once again but considering this has been going on since April 2020, we would advise Toon fans not to get too excited yet.
