Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest piece of January transfer news surrounding the Tyneside club.
This comes after the @ChronicleNUFC shared a post on their page that contained an article from Chronicle Live revealing that Steve Bruce’s side are “one of the clubs that have been offered the chance” to sign Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this potential transfer move.
So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say about a potential move for Hamza Choudhury?
Some Toon fans weren’t impressed by this potential transfer move.
“No thanks”
“Dirty player and very average”
“He’s not even that good tbh… he’s not better then Hayden”
Others were feeling rather excited by the idea of Choudhury making the move to St. James’ Park.
“Do the deal already”
“Yeah he’d be a wise singing”
“I’d say yes, aside from Hayden we don’t have anyone who can tackle in midfield so he’d be a decent signing”
Looking at these replies to this post, it appears that the idea of Newcastle signing Choudhury seems to have completely split this group of Toon fans.
Would you take Choudhury at Newcastle?
Yes
No
Given how the 23-year-old has only made three appearances in the Premier League for the Foxes so far this season earned himself a disappointing season rating of 6.16/10 for his performances in the process, maybe a move to Newcastle wouldn’t be a good move.
