Supporters of Newcastle United have fumed after some comments from Steve Bruce were shared on social media.

During the current round of Premier League fixtures, the Toon host Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City at St. James’ Park in a 2:15pm kick-off on Sunday (per Premier League).

The Magpies head into the clash having held Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to a 0-0 draw during their last game in the top flight (per Transfermarkt).

Ahead of the match with the Foxes, Bruce spoke to the press and claimed that he wanted more of the same from his side following the stalemate with the Reds (per Chronicle Live).

Some comments were shared on Twitter by The Chronicle. He said: “Slowly but surely we are getting the ideas of what we’re looking for.”

After the quotes were posted on social media, lots of Newcastle fans flocked to them to air their frustrations.

Of their opening 15 matches in the Premier League this season, the Toon have managed to pick up 19 points, having won five and drawn four.

Rodgers’ side has been in far better form that the Magpies, though, as they have picked up 29 points with nine wins and two draws in their opening 16 matches.
