Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Facebook, which relayed a report regarding the possible return from injury of Leeds centre-back, Gaetano Berardi.
After suffering a cruciate ligament rupture against Derby County in June of last year, Berardi has been on the sidelines for almost 200 days.
However, after one eagle-eyed Leeds fan appeared to spot Berardi at the Thorp Arch training ground – in the background of a video posted by the club – it would appear that the 32-year-old’s recovery from injury is progressing as expected.
And, with centre-back pair Diego Llorente and Robin Koch both struggling for fitness so far this season, Leeds Live claim that Berardi’s return to full fitness would be a ‘timely boost for Marcelo Bielsa’.
After Leeds United Live shared the report regarding Berardi on Facebook, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to be over the moon at the prospect of the defender’s return.
