Supporters of Leeds United have recently reacted to a transfer claim which has emerged regarding Spanish striker Rodrigo.
Supposedly, the La Liga club is eyeing a move for a striker after the release of Diego Costa and they want a player who has previously played in Spain.
On the list of options alongside Rodrigo is Raul de Tomas of Espanyol and Loren Moron of Real Betis.
However, should none of those three options be attainable, then Atletico will attempt to sign Polish forward Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli.
This report was shared to Leeds fans on Twitter by LeedsUnited.News and it had lots of them talking.
So, what did these Leeds fans have to say about the transfer report on Rodrigo?
“Nah he’s loving life at Leeds”
“He won’t leave, they’ll be looking at other players that are younger too.”
The 29-year-old forward only arrived at Elland Road during the summer transfer window, with the Whites having forked out £27m to sign him from Valencia (per Transfermarkt).
Would you be open to selling Rodrigo to Atletico Madrid?
No, he needs to stay
Yes, he can go for me
“Nah he will stay”
“Can have him for 100million”
Since signing for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, the striker has made 14 appearances for Leeds in the Premier League, in which he has managed to score three goals but has not provided an assist (per WhoScored).
His performances for the Whites have been decent as he has earned a 6.66/10 average rating, making him the 12th-best performer in the league for the club.
“Not worried in the slightest. I’ve got my eye on dating @carmenelectra but it’s not going to happen. Jog on athletico Madrid, Rodders is staying in gods county of Yorkshire!”
A couple of fans even voiced their opinions on the report on Facebook, as Leeds United Live shared the rumour.
As can be seen in these responses from Leeds fans, many of them were not happy with the idea of Rodrigo departing for Atletico Madrid unless it was for a huge transfer fee.
