Leeds United were left frustrated on Saturday, as they were well-beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in the early kick-off.

The Whites were beaten 3-0 by Jose Mourinho’s side, as they ran out comfortable winners, which means that Spurs now sit fourth in the Premier League table.

Goals from Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Toby Alderweireld saw the home side pick up the three points, as Leeds’ two-match winning run came to an end.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are now sat 12th in the Premier League table, and will be hoping they can get back to winning ways when they return to action against Crawley Town in the FA Cup on 10th January.

One player that has been a regular in the Leeds starting XI this term is Kalvin Phillips, with the midfielder playing the full 90 minutes against Spurs.

Phillips issued a defiant message after the defeat to Spurs, which is likely to be pleasing to see for the club’s supporters.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to social media to react to Phillips’ message, with many of them remaining upbeat despite the defeat.

Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below.

Ups and downs Kalvin. It’s been a great start to life back in the PL. Proud of you and the boys MOT

Realistically, teams that have been consistent top 10 finishers should be nothing games to us. If we get a result that’s fantastic, other than that the fans should be happy seeing a good shift being put in and that’s what we got.

Very proud of you and the team. Playing wonderful football and taking it up to the top sides. It seems like we are paying a high price for momentary lapses in concentration but can’t fault the effort.
