Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which highlighted footage of Marcelo Bielsa speaking after the club’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Following the match, in which Leeds were beaten 3-0 by Jose Mourinho’s side thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Toby Alderweireld, Bielsa claimed that Leeds appeared to be on top in the opening half-hour of the game before things evened out in the final 15 minutes of the first half, but that the start of the second half was their worst period of the match.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

He continued by saying that there were two aspects that ‘unbalanced the game’, which were the Spurs forwards, who Bielsa stated were ‘very difficult to contain’, and also the fact that his side made some unforced errors, which facilitated the Tottenham attack.

And, after the footage of Bielsa was shared on Twitter, many fans of Leeds appeared to be unimpressed with their manager’s remarks, as well as their team as a whole.

Do you think that Bielsa should adopt a more pragmatic approach to games?

So, what exactly did these Leeds United fans have to say in reaction to Marcelo Bielsa’s comments?

“Can we re-sign Jansson just to have him run on the pitch and head away every corner?”

@OliWhiteMOT93

“Did we really sign Llorente or is he a figment of our imagination? We need an experienced goalkeeper on loan to help Meslier who is struggling with no centre backs. I don’t think we will go down but it could be very close.”

@divebomber2017

“The only new signing who is performing well is Raphina. Moreno has failed to shine. Koch n Lorente underperforming. Should’ve signed De Paul. Mistake by Orta n Bielsa.”

@gramesh55

“The calibre of players that are currently Leeds United players have reached their potential, simply not good enough to take the club forward to the heights expected. Need to move a lot of them on and bring in higher quality and blood some of the outstanding youngsters”

@PeteFe268179

“bamford seemed to be hungover, the full backs distracted, the team made a play at 40”

@ferdosua

“I see we’ve absolutely learnt nothing from corners again”

@KevinCocks6

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Leeds United fans are not happy with the side for a number of reasons, with some stating their disappointment at the club’s summer recruits, while others commented on the side’s apparent inability to defend corners.
