Rob Lee believes that Edin Dzeko would make a great signing for Everton this window.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men were one of the teams named in a recent report from TalkSPORT that could be interested in taking on the former Manchester City forward amidst reports he has fallen out of favour with AS Roma boss Paulo Fonseca.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern about the link between the Toffees and the Bosnian, Lee said that he is the perfect all-round man for the Goodison Park outfit:

He said: “Yes, I think he’s a great target man. He holds the ball up, he’s got great ability with his feet, he’s a big man. But he also scores and he wouldn’t look out of place in any team, and I mean any team, in the league. He’s proven in the league.”

Would you want Edin Dzeko to sign for the Toffees anyway?

TIF Thoughts on Rob Lee suggesting Edin Dzeko could sign for Everton…

Lee certainly holds the 34-year-old in high regard if he thinks he can slot into any team in the Premier League, now it’s just a case of whether or not Everton can and will make the move for him before the window closes on Monday.

With Everton right in the midst of a battle for a European spot, and main forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin currently going through something of a slump right now, they need someone with that little bit of quality just to push them over the edge.

And adding someone like Dzeko, who is used to the Premier League and still finding the back of the net despite his age, might just be the difference between them finishing inside of those places, or facing another year of just finishing outside of them.
