Speaking recently on The Blue Room podcast, Ryan Reynolds slammed Richarlison’s performance for Everton in their recent loss against West Ham United.

Since moving to Everton from Watford in what was a £35.28 million deal back in 2018, Richarlison has gone on to feature 94 times for the club, scoring 34 goals and providing nine assists along the way.

To kick off this quiz on Seamus Coleman, what squad number does the right-back currently wear for the Toffees?

So far this season, the £54 million-rated 23-year-old has highly impressed over his 12 Premier League appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, scoring two goals and providing three assists, as well as averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.26 – ranking him as the club’s third-best performer in the top flight.

However, when discussing the most recent of the Brazilian international’s performances for the Toffees, in their 1-0 loss against West Ham on Saturday, Reynolds, speaking on The Blue Room podcast, criticised the forward’s display.

He said: “It just seems like nothing’s working for him. And the disappointing thing [against West Ham] I thought was that normally he works really hard defensively, and I didn’t really see that a lot from him either. His work rate wasn’t quite there [on Saturday] and it just seemed like a really sulky performance, which is quite rare for him in, in all aspects of his game.”

TIF Thoughts on Ryan Reynolds’ comments regarding Richarlison…

After looking at Richarlison’s match ratings over the course of the season, Reynolds’ comments would indeed seem to reflect the forward’s performance against West Ham, as he registered his worst rating of the season against David Moyes’ side, earning a rating of just 6.36 from WhoScored in the fixture.

As well as managing just one attempt at goal, the 23-year-old also made just one tackle in the match, which, again, falls in line with Reynolds’ claim that Richarlison was not putting in much work defensively against the Hammers.

As such, Everton fans will surely be hoping for a much better display from the Brazilain over the coming weeks, as, as pointed out earlier, the forward has been one of the club’s better performers so far this season.
