On the topic of Everton and their recent injury issues to Rodriguez and Digne, Osman had this to say on the matter.

He said: “[They’ve got to] get James fit, Lucas Digne fit, those two are players that can really create opportunities in a game and they could be the difference for Everton.”

With Rodriguez, it was recently reported that the Colombian would be unavailable for the club’s recent 1-0 defeat against West Ham United. However, the midfielder managed to make an appearance in the game as a substitute in the second half, replacing Bernard just after the hour mark.

As for Digne, Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed that the full-back “will be starting individual sessions and in one week he will be able to train with the team.”

TIF Thoughts on Leon Osman’s comments on Rodriguez and Digne…

Given how Rodriguez is currently Everton’s highest-rated player for the campaign with a season rating of 7.48/10, it’s easy to see why Osman thinks he will make a big change to how Everton play when he returns to action.

Similarly, with Digne having managed to pick up four assists for the club, more than any other Everton player this season, this shows that he is an important part of Everton’s attacking power.
