Speaking recently on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Dharmesh Sheth claimed that Sam Allardyce could be keen on a reunion with Everton striker, Cenk Tosun, at West Bromwich Albion.

Since arriving at Everton from Besiktas JK in what was a £20.25 million deal back in January of 2018, Tosun has gone on to feature 58 times for the club, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists along the way.

However, so far this season, the £6.3 million-rated 29-year-old has started just one game under Carlo Ancelotti, as well as making a total of just seven appearances across all competitions.

Although, according to Sheth, speaking on a recent episode of the Transfer Talk podcast, the Turkey international could be offered a way out of Goodison Park this January, as former Everton manager, Allardyce, is thought to be keen on a reunion with the player he signed for the Toffees three years ago.

He said: “West Brom [are] also interested in the Everton striker Cenk Tosun. Now, there is a link here because when Everton were managed by Sam Allardyce, they bought Cenk Tosun to Goodison Park, so it could be a reunion there.”

TIF Thoughts on Dharmesh Sheth’s comments regarding Cenk Tosun’s future…

Should West Brom indeed be interested in a move for Tosun, it would appear to be a deal that could suit both clubs.

Firstly, Everton would get a player who is hardly featuring, as well as being reported to earn £60,000 per week, off of their books, while a West Brom side who have struggled for goals so far this season – the Baggies have scored just 11 goals over their 17 Premier League fixtures – would be adding more firepower to their squad, in their bid to avoid relegation back to the Championship.
