Many Leeds United fans have been responding to a tweet from their club’s official Twitter account which shared the news that Robbie Gotts has been recalled from his loan spell at League One Lincoln City and relocated to League Two Salford City.

Gotts joined Lincoln on loan back in October and made 12 appearances for the Imps, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He’s now set to spend the rest of the 2020/21 campaign at Peninsula Stadium.

So, how have these Leeds United fans reacted to this update on Gotts?

Salford City are owned by Project 92 Limited, which consists of billionaire Peter Lim, who also owns La Liga giants Valencia, and former Manchester United players Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

With that in mind, and knowing that Leeds United and Manchester United have a bitter rivalry, it may be understandable why many fans of the Yorkshire club reacted negatively to this news on Gotts.
