Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

One of the main topics that he talked about was transfers and potential outgoings at Elland Road.

One player that he mentioned who he can see leaving Leeds this month is Tyler Roberts, who has been linked with a move to the Championship.

He said: Tyler Roberts [is] an interesting one because he is in the picture in the sense that he’s been in the squad in the main throughout the season, hasn’t played an awful lot, but has been on the fringes.

“There is a lot of loan interest in him from the Championship, Derby [are] one of the sides that would like to take him.

“I think [Marcelo] Bielsa’s feeling is he would like to keep Roberts, but at the same time if Roberts wanted to get out and get some games and play more than he’s able to at Leeds, he probably wouldn’t obstruct that.

“It seems to me like it might be a good idea.”

Should Roberts go out on loan?

Yes, he needs the game time

No, we should keep him in the squad

No, we should keep him in the squad

TIF Thoughts on Roberts’ situation…

The Welsh international has not featured in the last four Premier League games and was left on the bench for all of the games bar one, where he wasn’t even in the squad, even though Leeds had to play three games in the space of six days.

So, despite featuring quite a bit at the start of the season, it seems as if Roberts has been gradually frozen out, and with numerous Championship clubs wanting him, we think it would be a good idea for the 21-year-old to head out and get some more first-team minutes.

Roberts’ Leeds career has been disrupted, but this season, he has been available but just hasn’t been able to break into Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI, so a loan move could be just what he needs.
