A lot of Leeds United fans have been responding to a tweet from The Athletic’s Phil Hay, sharing the news that Leeds centre-back Diego Llorente pulled up with a hamstring injury during the Whites’ 2-1 Premier League win over Newcastle United on Tuesday evening.

This clash with Newcastle saw the 27-year-old, who joined Leeds from Real Sociedad for £18m back in September, make his first start for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. However, the game ended prematurely for him, as he hobbled off the pitch after 10 minutes.

After Hay took to Twitter to state that Llorente seemingly picked up a hamstring injury, many Leeds supporters replied to his post to share their thoughts on this news.

So, how have these Leeds United fans been reacting to this news?

This news drew a largely negative response from fans of the Yorkshire club, many of whom were annoyed with Llorente’s injury woes.
