A number of Leeds United supporters have taken to Rodrigo De Paul’s recent social media post to plead with the Udinese midfielder to sign for the club before the January transfer window reaches a conclusion.

De Paul has been linked with the Yorkshire-based side, but a move failed to materialise during the summer, as Leeds looked to adjust to life back in the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are currently sat 12th in the top-flight standings after their opening 20 matches, and recently picked up three points in a 3-1 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

De Paul remained with Udinese for the time being, and was on the scoresheet on Sunday himself, as his team ran out narrow 1-0 winners against Spezia.

The Argentine scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, which takes his goal tally to five in all competitions this season.

It remains to be seen as to whether Leeds will make another late move for De Paul, but it’s safe to say that a number of the Elland Road faithful were keen to see him arrive on Deadline Day.
