Leeds United fans have been reacting to claims that they could be about to reignite their interest in Rangers winger Ryan Kent.
Leeds United’s Director Of Football Victor Orta did reveal that the club were interested in bringing him in last summer, and speaking to Football Insider, former Premier League man Alan Hutton has tipped Leeds to go after him again following some recent changes in the winger’s life.
He said: “You always wonder when a player has an agent change, what the reason is behind it – whether it be looking for a move or whatever but there’s been big offers for him.
“Leeds had huge interest in him but it didn’t quite work out but again I always go back and say if the price is right, the player will go.”
Would you like to see Leeds sign Ryan Kent this summer?
The links between Kent and Leeds go back even further than that, with the club also reportedly interested in him during the summer of 2019, and having put up some impressive numbers during his time north of the border including having 11 assists so far this year, it’s clear to see why they might be interested again.
However, Leeds fans on Facebook didn’t seem too keen to hear Hutton’s take on the matter, with many of them thinking that he was surplus to requirements:
And if you take a look at the makeup of the current squad, you can certainly see that they have a point.
