Leeds United fans have been reacting with great joy over footage of goalkeeper Illan Meslier back in training.
The French stopper has been absent from recent games with an illness, and things haven’t been so great with his backup Kiko Casilla between the sticks. They lost both of their last two games, conceding four goals, with their defeat against Crawley Town bringing out some incredible anger from the supporters over Casilla’s display.
However, footage emerged over the weekend from goalkeeping coach Marcos Abad that showed Meslier back in training as Leeds get ready to crack on with their Premier League campaign, starting tomorrow night against Newcastle United.
With their number one seemingly back in contention to play again, Leeds United fans on social media couldn’t contain themselves as they eagerly anticipated his return:

Excitement which is pretty well placed, with Meslier having a higher shot saved percentage so far this season than Casilla, and with the Spaniard still to keep a clean sheet, the evidence does stack up for who is the better between the two.
