Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Facebook, which relayed the comments of Wouter Vrancken regarding Maryan Shved.

Vrancken, who is the manager of KV Mechelen, where Shved is spending the season on loan from Celtic, tore into the 23-year-old, stating that he doesn’t feel as if he should be wasting his time on the winger anymore.

The 41-year-old said: “I don’t feel like I should be wasting my time on him anymore. The players and staff have done everything they can to include Shved in the squad, but he puts himself above the group.

“He regularly arrives late and even pretends not to be here. The staff and the players have talked to him several times.  I spoke to him in private, I also addressed him in the group. But we haven’t got a response. Well, it stops now. If he wants to be a loner, he can. Go play billiards for the rest of his life or something.”

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to Wouter Vrancken’s comments regarding Maryan Shved?

Following his arrival at Parkhead back in January of 2019, the £720k-rated Shved has so far gone on to feature just three times for Neil Lennon’s side, scoring one goal.

Things do not appear to have improved much in terms of game-time for the 23-year-old at Mechelen, where he has also made just three appearances.

And it would appear that many Celtic fans blame the Celtic board for making the £1.8 million signing of Shved almost a year ago, with a great deal of them taking to Facebook to share their opinion on Vrancken’s comments.

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Celtic fans are of the opinion that Shved was a waste of money and a transfer that the Celtic hierarchy got massively wrong.
