Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Facebook, which relayed reports claiming the club are interested in Manchester United winger, Jesse Lingard.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Lingard has informed United that unless they exercise the one-year extension clause in his current contract, which is set to expire next summer, then he would like to leave the club in January, with Celtic, Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Everton all being linked with the 27-year-old.
So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to the report regarding the club’s interest in Jesse Lingard?
A product of the Manchester United youth system, Lingard has made 209 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 33 goals and providing 20 assists along the way.
However, so far this season, the £12.6 million-rated England international has not featured in either of United’s Premier League or Champions League campaigns, with his two appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side coming in the League Cup.

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Celtic fans absolutely do not want Celtic to attempt to sign Lingard, as some state their side have other priorities in terms of signings, while others simply stated their belief that the 27-year-old is overrated.
