Fans of Celtic have taken to Twitter following the club’s draw with St Johnstone on Sunday, calling for Eddie Howe to be appointed as the Bhoys’ new manager.

Following Celtic’s 1-1 draw with St Johnstone, a result which means Celtic have now won just two of their last 12 fixtures in all competitions, fans of the club have taken to Twitter to call for Neil Lennon’s sacking, and, subsequently, for the board to appoint former Bournemouth manager, Eddie Howe, who has been linked.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say regarding Eddie Howe?

Despite the fact that Celtic cannot mathematically qualify from their Europa League group having failed to win a single game in the tournament, are out of the Scottish League Cup having lost 2-0 at home to Ross County and trail Old Firm rivals Rangers by 13 points in the Scottish Premiership, Peter Lawwell recently publicly backed Lennon, calling for fans and the club to move forward together.

However, it would seem that, following the St Johnstone result, these fans of Celtic have run out of whatever patience they had left for Lennon, and want to see Howe instated as the club’s new manager.

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Celtic fans would love to see Howe be given the Celtic job, with many appearing to be of the belief that Lennon’s time is up at Parkhead.
