Celtic were crowned Scottish Cup champions for the fourth consecutive season, as they beat Championship side Heart of Midlothian on penalties.

Ryan Christie gave the Bhoys the lead after 19 minutes with a well-placed effort into the top corner, before Odsonne Edouard doubled their lead from the penalty spot with a chipped effort from 12 yards.

But that lead was halved when Liam Boyce pulled a goal back for Hearts, before Stephen Kingsley equalised for the Championship team.

Leigh Griffiths then put Neil Lennon’s side back in front in extra time, but Josh Ginnelly equalised again for Hearts.

It was Lennon’s side that held their nerve in the penalty shoot-out though, with Kristoffer Ajer firing home their winning penalty to win yet another Scottish Cup title.

One player that has come in for criticism from some of the Celtic supporters is Shane Duffy, with the on-loan Brighton and Hove Albion defender playing throughout the first 90 minutes of action against Hearts before being withdrawn for youngster Michael Johnston.
