Many Celtic fans have been talking about Fraser Forster and the possibility of the club bringing him back to the club in the January transfer window.
Pundit Michael Stewart recently tweeted about Fraser Forster, saying that he wouldn’t be surprised if the Hoops are desperately looking to bring the Englishman back to Parkhead in January. He believes that the club’s goalkeeping situation is ‘desperate’.
Would you like Forster back at Celtic?
Yes
No
An article about this tweet was relayed on Facebook by Celts Are Here and it caught the attention of many Hoops fans. They made it clear that they want Forster back at Parkhead in January.
Forster, currently 32, was at Parkhead on loan from Southampton in the 2019/20 season and Neil Lennon had confirmed that the Hoops had tried to re-sign him in the summer transfer window. While a deal was agreed between the Saints and Celtic, things went quiet on the player’s end of the agreement (as per Sky Sports).
It was also reported that Forster had decided to fight for his place under Ralph Hasenhuttl at Southampton. Some other Celtic fans also made it clear that they would like to see Forster return to Parkhead.
These fans clearly want Forster to return to the club in January and they are pretty sure about it too.
Forster is yet to make a single appearance for Southampton this season and he has been on the bench in every single game in the Premier League. Vasilis Barkas has picked up rather unimpressive ratings in games against Milan, Rangers and Livingston this season and it shows that he’s had a poor start to life at Parkhead (as per Whoscored).
So because of Barkas’ poor performances, it is understandable why fans want Forster to return to Celtic.
