Many Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their criticism for Hoops midfielder Ryan Christie over his latest performance for the club.

With Neil Lennon’s side taking on Hamilton Academical away from home hoping to pick up three points, it was Christie’s performance in particular that caught the attention of these Celtic fans, but for all the wrong reasons.

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

So, what did these Hoops fans have to say about Christie’s display against Hamilton?

“Can we sell Ryan Christie in January? Hopeless.”

@Iceman_765

“Knocked the ball about well the first 20 mins then away back as bad as ever, absolutely horrific. I’m gonny have a celebration the day Ryan Christie gets his move to England, there can’t be many more frustrating players that’s ever graced the jersey than him, garbage.”

@Ryanmc67_

“Does Ryan Christie have the worst delivery of a dead ball in professional football?”

@SSurvivor03

“Ryan Christie is a mid table championship player at best. No chance he goes to the premiership and plays more than a handful of games”

@Itswayoverthere

“Ryan christie having a mare”

@Kenz_i3

“dunno if there’s a more frustrating player in this team than ryan christie.”

@Hez_cfc67

“Halloween was 8 weeks ago and Ryan Christie is still in costume, pretending to be a professional footballer”

@McGrath130899

“Ryan Christie thinks he’s going to leave us to play in the Premier League”

Christie is as big a detriment to pur team as Brown was. Every single thing good about him when he first broke in is gone. Left with 40 yard shots and nothing else.

Celtic signed the 25-year-old back in 2015 from Inverness Caledonian Thistle for an undisclosed fee. Overall, Christie has made 121 appearances for the Hoops, prior to their game against Hamilton, in which he has managed to score 37 goals and provide 37 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at these tweets from this group of Celtic fans, it’s clear to see that they were not fully impressed by what they saw from Christie against Hamilton.

Moving forward, these Hoops fans will undoubtedly be hoping that Christie can put in some better-quality performances throughout the remainder of the season so he can help his side try and secure their tenth league title in a row.
