Celtic fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Hoops midfielder Nir Bitton and his performance in the first half of the club’s SPFL clash away at Hamilton Academical.
Following their previous league game that saw Neil Lennon’s side beat Ross County 2-0, Celtic headed to Hamilton with the hopes of picking up another three points.
During the first half, many Hoops fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Bitton’s display against Hamilton, with many being not too pleased with what they saw from the 29-year-old.
So, what did these Celtic fans have to say about Bitton?
“Bitton is doing my head in already”
“Bitton as a centre half absolutely gives me the fear.”
“I’d take #bitton off before he gets sent off”
“Get Nir Bitton off now! #HAMCEL“
“Bitton better watch himself with the daft fouls”
“Bitton for an early bath looks a stick on. Absolute dud.”
Looking at these tweets from this group of Celtic fans, it’s clear that they were not impressed by what they saw from Bitton in the first half against Hamilton.
Do you think Bitton had a good first half?
Given how the midfielder, who started the game playing in the defensive line for Celtic, picked up a yellow card in the opening minutes of the game, it’s understandable why these Hoops fans are a bit wary of him potentially getting sent off during the remainder of the match. However, the fact that the Hoops haven’t conceded can be taken as a positive, as they’ve conceded in all three of the last Scottish Premiership games that Bitton has featured in.
Hopefully, Bitton doesn’t get sent off during the game and can then go on to put in a better performance in the second half for the club.
