Many Celtic fans have been fuming at the latest comments from Mohamed Elyounoussi that recently emerged on social media.
The official Celtic Twitter account recently relayed some comments from Elyounoussi. The Norwegian, ahead of Celtic’s Europa League game against Lille, said that while the Ligue 1 side are a ‘strong team’, the Hoops have nothing to lose as they’ve been knocked out of the Europa League already. The Bhoys star also said that the Celtic players will play with freedom and enjoy themselves.
Do Celtic have nothing to lose in the game against Lille?

The Hoops have played once against Lille this season. They had put themselves 2-0 up in that game, but they managed to let the lead slip and the game had ended 2-2 (as per BBC Sport).
They have lost to Sparta Prague twice and have also lost to Milan twice too. Neil Lennon’s men have also conceded as many as 17 goals in the group stage of the Europa League.
Some other Celtic fans also discussed Elyounoussi’s latest comments and they also mocked what he had to say.

Celtic have won just two of their last 12 games in all competitions so far and it suggests that their form has indeed been poor.
Since they are already out of Europe, the Hoops indeed have nothing to lose going into the game against Lille and Elyounoussi is right to point that out.
The Norwegian has done well in the Europa League this season and has contributed to four goals in four appearances in the group stages. So instead of criticising him, fans should praise him for his performances so far.
