Many Celtic fans were buzzing at a tweet involving Ismaila Soro that recently emerged on social media.

Prior to the Hoops’ victory over Dundee United on Wednesday, the official Celtic Twitter account recently relayed a tweet from the SPFL, whose post carried an image of the SPFL’s Team of the Week from the weekend’s games, which included Celtic’s 3-0 Boxing Day win over Hamilton Academical. The team featured Celtic’s Ivorian midfielder Ismaila Soro. The club’s tweet simply said ‘Soro’ alongside the fist-bump emoji.

Some of these Celtic fans are desperate to see Soro start for the Bhoys in the upcoming Old Firm derby.

Soro has picked up pretty good ratings in Celtic’s recent league games against Kilmarnock, Hamilton and Ross County. He also came up with a very impressive performance in the Europa League game against Lille (as per WhoScored).
The fact that he has been included in the Team of the Week suggests that he has indeed been impressive for the Bhoys. And based on form, he should be starting against Rangers.
