Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet from the club that recently emerged on social media.
The club’s official Twitter account recently relayed a post supporting Neil Lennon. The tweet said that the club’s board is continuing to support Lennon and the tweet carried a link to an article on the Celtic website.
Is keeping Lennon at the club worth the risk?
Yes
No
This tweet from the club caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who were fuming at the Hoops’ stance about Lennon’s position.
What did Celtic fans make of this tweet about Neil Lennon?

The board of Celtic football club wishes to make it clear it does not care about fans and does not care about our loyalty

Absolutely disgraceful!
Where was this fanatical backing for Mowbray or Deila when they needed it?
This is simply a case of a stubborn pigheaded board unwilling to bow to fan pressure & NL not willing to walk without his pay off!
All at the expense of 10IAR!
Unforgivable!?

The statement on the club’s official website backed Lennon to turn things around at Parkhead. It said that the Celtic board understands the need to win the title this season and the recent results have indeed been ‘disappointing’ for the Bhoys. They feel that Lennon is best placed to turn the situation around and he still has the support of the players and the staff at the club (as per Celticfc.com).
The club’s tweet caught the attention of some other Celtic fans, who were fuming about the update.
Becoming embarrassing now. Accepting poor results and throwing away one of the biggest seasons in our history. Shambles https://t.co/YPKls0kMIv

These Celtic fans clearly want the club to get rid of Lennon and they are frustrated at the Celtic board for not making that decision.
Lennon held talks with the club’s hierarchy last week, but the outcome was a positive one. Going by the recent statement, it doesn’t seem as if the board’s perception has been impacted by the recent draw against St. Johnstone.
Having said that, Lennon’s men have won just two games out of their last 12 in all competitions and if the form doesn’t improve, the manager might have to be sacked soon.
