Celtic picked up an important three points on Boxing Day, as they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Hamilton Academical at New Douglas Park.

The Bhoys couldn’t find the breakthrough in the first half, despite dominating the statistics heading into the break, which will have been frustrating for Neil Lennon.

But whatever the Celtic boss said in his half-time team-talk certainly worked, as the Bhoys scored three times in the second half to pick up the win.

Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and David Turnbull were all on the scoresheet for the Bhoys, as they remain second in the Scottish Premiership.

They’re still 16 points adrift of arch-rivals Rangers, but Lennon’s side do have three matches in hand over Steven Gerrard’s men heading towards the New Year.

One player that has caught the eye with some strong performances of late is Turnbull, with the midfielder scoring his fourth goal of the 2020/21 season in all competitions.

The 21-year-old was starting his third consecutive league match for Celtic, and has clearly made a good impression on Neil Lennon.

Celtic are set to return to action on 30th December, when they face Dundee United, and plenty of Bhoys supporters are keen to see Turnbull retain his place in the starting XI heading into that match.

Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter to Turnbull’s latest showing.

Given his form over the last few weeks, it is no surprise that these supporters are backing Turnbull to continue the impressive level of his performances, particularly ahead of such a crucial match against Rangers next weekend.
