Celtic podcaster Paul John Dykes has aired his belief that Olivier Ntcham could be leaving the Hoops in the not-too-distant future.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has been situated at Celtic Park since he was signed from Manchester City for £4.5m in the summer of 2017 (per Transfermarkt).

Since then, the middleman has made 146 appearances for Celtic, in which he has bagged a respectable tally of 24 goals and 13 assists for the Hoops.

However, the player has not been without transfer links away from Scotland, as during the summer, both Southampton and West Bromwich Albion were touted to be keen on Ntcham (per Daily Mail).

During the latest edition of the A Celtic State of Mind podcast, Dykes discussed the Frenchman and aired his belief that his departure may not be all that far in the future.

He said: “I think Ntcham is someone who, as good as he can be from time to time, he’s not contributing enough.

“I think he will leave and that would be fine.”

As can be seen in what the podcaster had to say, he believes that the French midfielder may not be located at Celtic Park for all that much longer.

Would you mind if Olivier Ntcham was sold by Celtic?

So far this season, Ntcham has made 13 Premiership appearances for Neil Lennon’s side, in which he has provided just one goal and one assist (per WhoScored).

His performances have also been unimpressive as he has delivered a weak average rating of 6.47/10, making him the seventh-worst performer to feature for the Bhoys this term.

However, with a current market value of just £3.6m, the Hoops may not be able to get all that much more than the £4.5m which they paid for Ntcham in 2017 if he is sold.
